dry mounting and finishing
Once your image is ready, the ARTiPLAQ™ dry mounting process begins. We custom-cut a smooth 3/8"MDF (medium-density fiberboard) substrate to the exact size of your print. Using premium DRYTAC dry-mount adhesive, we permanently bond the image to the board in a professional heated vacuum press. This dry mount photo and print process creates a smooth, stable surface that helps prevent buckling and wrinkling while giving the finished piece a substantial, professionally crafted feel. Unlike simply mounting prints on board, ARTiPLAQ™ takes the process several steps further. After mounting, the image is encapsulated under a protective DRYTAC laminate. Our Artshield laminate incorporates UV filters and a low-glare matte finish, adding protection while preserving the clean appearance of the image.
